Kok opp vann.Tilsett ingefær og chili. Mengde etter eget ønske.

Trekk i 20 minutter.

Drikk i vei.

Cold weather. Hot stuff.

_DSC8036It`s raining like crazy outside. Summer is not exactly showing off it`s best side.

In desperate need of some heat I made this hot Indian-ish fish dish. So tasty. The fish is caught in the fjord.

Ingredients:

0,5 fresh red chili (take out the seeds for a milder dish)

1 carrot

1 onion

2-4 cloves garlic

2 dl frozen green peas

200-300 grams white fish

2 dl drained & soaked lentiles

1 can chopped tomatoes (choose the type canned in the square paper boxes, better than in cans)

2 tablespoons extra virgin coconut oil

1 teaspoon curry

1 teaspoon cummin

1 teaspoon masala mix

1 teaspoon tumeric

salt & pepper

What to do:

Chop the vegetables that need to be chopped.

Heat coconut oil. Fry garlic, onion on low heat till it softens. Then add the spices. Fry for a few minutes. This will really free the aromas.

Add the lentils and tomatoes. Let simmer for a few minutes.

Then use a mixer to blend it all.

Add the rest of the vegetables. Let simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.

At the end add the fresh fish, sliced or diced, and stir gently! As soon as the fish is cooked, it`s ready to eat!

Choose as much organic and fresh as you can!

Bon apetitt!

West Germany pottery

_DSC7896

I am impressed over the diversity of West German pottery. We have all seen it!

But it is not just one particular style, it is a range of styles; colors, form and concepts. Inspiring colors and glazes.

We often see them in interior articles and in our grandparents homes.

I often wind up buying objects that are colorful, have a grafic patterns or glazed. It just catches my eye.

This green one is one og my favorites. I`ve had it for ages.

Are you interested in WG pottery? Check out this West German pottery. And beneath you can see some colorful variations, press the picture for the source.

Will show you some of my other pieces another day!

Retro porcelain favorites by the sea

_DSC7956

I have a thing for old things. Especially if they remind me of the sea, flowers or of my childhood.

My grandfather was a whaler, from the nothern part of Norway. He always took us kids out fishing. So fishing, boats or anything to do with the sea reminds me of him. No wonder I bought this nostalgic mug! A mother, father and children out in their boat, all smiling. The perfect familiy. It tells a story, from Stavangerflint. Marked Norway 3092. I recently found it at a Fretex store. But I can find any more info on the web about it…..

The little turquoise milk jug has a superfunky pattern and a color as in the caribian sea. It doesn`t have a mark underneath. Have any of you seen it before? I bought it at a local fleamarked! Like the way the pattern is so different from the mug, but still the turquoise is in both!

Talking about the sea, spring is in the air and the temperature reached to 14 degrees celcius today! Above the fjord that is! 🙂

That totally deserves a sea tea and a dip in the fjord! 🙂
